Can UK residents join?

Confirm on the firm's official terms that UK residents are accepted for the specific programme, not just the website in general.

FCA

Is the firm authorised?

Search the FCA Register. If a firm is not authorised, protections such as the Financial Ombudsman Service and FSCS are unlikely to apply.

£

What does it cost in pounds?

Many prices are set in US dollars. Card conversion fees and exchange rates can change the final cost. Record the amount actually charged.

⚠

Has the FCA issued warnings?

Check FCA ScamSmart before paying, especially for unfamiliar firms or offers promoted through social media.

▤

Keep tax records

How payouts are taxed depends on your circumstances. Keep every fee, payout and date. For your own situation, check HMRC guidance or speak to a qualified adviser.

≠

Simulated or live?

Many evaluations use simulated accounts. Read the firm's terms carefully so you know exactly what a payout is and when the firm can refuse one.
